Apple II: La Serie di Computer che ha Definito un’Era

La serie Apple II, lanciata nel 1977 con il modello originale Apple II, è stata una delle prime famiglie di computer domestici di successo prodotte su larga scala. Progettata principalmente da Steve Wozniak e prodotta da Apple Computer (ora Apple Inc.), questa serie ha segnato un notevole avanzamento rispetto al suo predecessore, l’Apple I, grazie alla sua facilità d’uso, alle sue funzionalità e alla sua espandibilità.

Apple ha mantenuto in vendita i sistemi Apple II parallelamente al Macintosh fino alla fine della produzione del IIGS nel dicembre del 1992 e del IIe nel novembre del 1993. Il modello finale della serie, la scheda Apple IIe per Macintosh, è stato discontinuato il 15 ottobre 1993.
